The line leak detector should be installed directly into the turbine pump manifold (center) and not the pipe exit (9 o'clock). The leak detector will not find a leak between itself and the turbine so the piping is unprotected.

The water gushing into the sump around the penetration fitting (top center below shadowed head) means the sump would pass a tightness test.
