The beginning of a New Year is an exciting time to look back at our contribution to the UST training industry by evaluating feedback from customers. I would like to share with you the results of surveys we received from our Class A/B UST operators nationwide.
We ask each operator to fill out a survey after completing the training but before getting their certificate. The pie charts below are an aggregate from thirty “A/B” states plus Indian Country.
84% of 4,212 Class A/B UST operators called our signup and purchase “Super slick” or “Pretty easy.” We are always looking for ways to improve our sign up and purchase process to reduce user frustration and encourage people to find value in online training.
87% of 3,056 Class A/B UST operators found our handouts “Very Useful” or “Pretty Useful”. We provide an in-depth PDF study guide with each Class A/B course. We believe it to be both helpful to follow along during the training and something to use as reference guide after class.
87% of 3,420 Class A/B UST operators found our lessons “Very easy” or “Pretty easy” when asked if the lessons were organized and easy to follow. We believe we have created a flow of information — starting big and drilling down into the details – that operators seem to appreciate.
91% of 2,576 Class A/B UST operators found the information “Very useful” or “Pretty useful”. Out of all the things we request feedback on, we are most proud of this one. Our operators seem to appreciate that this is not just simply a legal requirement, but something that helps them be better UST operators.
54% of the 4,768 Class A/B UST Operators said the content was either “All new” or “Somewhat new” to them. These results indicate the majority of UST operators are new to the business of UST management. Only 15% said they “Knew a lot” of “Knew most/all of it”.
74% of 3,746 Class A/B UST operators said online training was “Heck yes!” or “Mostly” better than live training. Having started with only live training back in 2003 and transitioned almost exclusively to online training, we are pleased to see that a super majority of UST operators find online training to be the best way to go. Only 5% said “Not really” or “No way”.
