It’s a great honor to be a part of something that is bigger than ourselves that helps make the world a better place. Every once in a while I stop and and smile to myself because I know I’m contributing to the betterment of my corner of the universe: preventing leaks and spills from UST sites. A strange but interesting niche of mine for the past 38 years.
As a board member representing the Affiliates Division of the Petroleum Equipment Institute, I recently attended the PEI spring board meeting in Santa FE, NM April 15-16. We covered a lot of ground in two days and I left being humbled to work with such a bright and energetic board and staff.
And special thanks to Jason Blake. Since taking the helm back in October of 2021, our PEI President has really ramped up efforts to make sure our organization continues to improve not only things for its members but for the energy equipment handling industry as a whole.
And even as a PEI member for many years, it seems like I’m always learning about another task, study, event or initiative that PEI is undertaking.
