Otherwise stop by one of these sessions:

Monday, September 12, 2022, 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Ins and Outs of ATGs: Everything you need to know but were afraid to ask!
FortPitt Room

With so many ATG’s out in the market, it is sometimes difficult and confusing to understand all the functions of an ATG system. During this training, participants will learn why one should use an ATG system for release detection, types of ATG Systems, and functions of an ATG including how to respond to alarms, how to read and interpret reports, and other valuable information. Also learn about the phasing out of the Veeder Root TLS 350 and what you can do to prepare. Please join Ben Thomas of UST Training as he discusses the ins and outs of ATG systems. Tribal, State and EPA are encouraged to join.

Wednesday September 13, 2022, 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Challenges and Opportunities of a Multi-Cultural UST Industry
Kings Garden 3 Room

Come learn about the changing landscape of UST ownership, which include immigrants, indigenous peoples, and those who’ve been here all along. Then join us as we explore the challenges and opportunities of technical assistance outreach to English-not-as-a-first language UST operators. The changing demographics of the US pose cultural and language challenges but also invite new, creative ways to think about UST outreach and education. Because of the change in demographics of UST owners, operational compliance might significantly improve if the UST agencies provided operator training and guidance documents in other languages.

Liliana Cruz, Latin America Director, PEI | Kristopher Grinnell, Toxics Cleanup Program Information and Policy Section Manager, WA Dept. of Ecology | Bonny Hughes, Environmental Scientist and Specialist, NM ED | Warren Roan, Environmental Department Manager, NNEPA, Moderated by Ben Thomas.
