Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. In the old days if you’re an operator to come up to your tank gauge and look at the information you’re the only person the whole wide world to know whether or not your system was an alarm or if you needed fuel or something like that. Now with the Veeder-Root TLS-450plus you can have internet connectivity, and you can see here by the yellow cable this tank monitor is connected to the Internet and allows you to push information off-site and can even go to your smartphone. I’ve downloaded the Veeder-Root TLS-450Plus app and you can see here on the screen I’ve got a gas station here which I’ve added I can add more stations if I want to but for this particular UST gas site I’ve got a basic overview of my system. I’ve got three tanks one regular, one premium, and one diesel. It tells me information like volume ullage, water height, and fuel height. I’ve got a GPS map to show where my UST system is located, and I can generate reports like active alarms. If there are any active alarms at this UST site, I can respond to them immediately because I’ll be notified via email through the app program. Likewise, I can check out current inventory of each tank and I can also show last delivery and so this app is a great mobile way to determine operable conditions as well as alarm conditions. So, in this day and age it’s really important that you have immediate access to critical information about your UST system. Download the app, get it onto your phone and use Internet connectivity to be in touch with your fueling operations on a 24-hour basis.
