Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training this is a tank savvy minute. If you have an underground storage tank system and an automatic tank gauge your job as a UST operator is to make sure everything’s working properly. I’m here at a typical UST site at a Convivence store and I’m noticing here this little envelope here is empty there should be a manual on how to run this Veeder-Root TLS 350. A good operator knows the operating manual should be standing by this operator should be going online downloading a copy of it and keeping it here. A good operator should know how to run the automatic tank gauge system with the manual provided here. Your automatic tank gauge is your first line of defense against a catastrophic or a minor leak to the UST system you as an operator should be doing all you can to make sure you understand how it functions and to make sure your user guide is available.
