Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. We’re here at a typical convenience store behind the counter is what’s called a class C operator. The person in charge of responding to a spill, leak or alarm. Does the class C operator know what to do about an alarm follow me back to the tank gauge room. If you’re a class C operator it’s imperative you know that this is an automatic tank gauge, this monitors for leaks and alarms in the tank gauge and if you are a class C operator if you see anything other than all functions normal our recommendation at UST training is that you actually call your supervisor if it say some sort of strange alarm, if it’s making a loud noise if it’s beeping you want to call your supervisor and let them know something may not be right. A good class C operator knows any alarm conditions can compromise the UST system. This has Ben Thomas with UST training this has been a tank savvy minute.
