Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Today we’re going to talk about dispenser filters. A filter is an important part of the fueling system because it captures any sort of Gunk and debris and water that might get into the fuel and otherwise into the customer’s vehicle. We at UST training recommend that you only have qualified service technicians change the filters. Some of you do them on your own and that’s you know maybe okay, but you really need to know that there are some considerable safety factors here. The shear valve needs to be tripped the breaker needs to be off and so our technician Ryan here is going to be changing a filter. You can see he’s got a little containment bucket there to make sure there’s no drips and a secondary bucket under there. This is an important thing, and these dispenser filters should be changed at least once a year or sooner depending on your company’s policies or depending on need. You’ll notice here this is a filter that is also suited for ethanol fuels and so this is good for E10 fuels it’ll pull out water that might get into the customer’s vehicle. Dispenser filter is an important part of fuel quality. his is Ben Thomas with UST training and this has been a tank savvy minute.
