EVO 550 – Measuring Water in Your Tank

February 5, 2018

Hi, this is Ben Thomas with the UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Depending on what part of the country you live in it’s sometimes hard to keep water out of your underground storage tank system. It’s important to have water measurements to make sure you know how much water is in there and if there’s too much you have that water taken out. So, how do you know how much water is in your underground storage tank with this Evo 550 by Franklin fueling system you can actually get that information by clicking on a quick jump button and then tanks, then you pick a tank, and it shows you exactly. There are 17.1 gallons and .91 inches of water. How does the tank monitor know that is in the tank at all. So, actually there is a probe and a float, a series of floats inside your underground storage tank the bottom float is going to be for water so water starts coming into the tank that flow will rise and send that information off of the tank gauge. If you have more than either an inch or more, you’re going to consider having that water checked out and maybe pumped out for a safe fueling operation. This is Ben Thomas with UST training. This has been a tank savvy minute.
