Franklin EVO 550/600: In Tank or Interstitial Monitoring?

October 23, 2024

Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training this is a tank savvy minute. if you have an EVO 550 or 600 by Franklin fueling systems it’s important to know how you’re looking for leaks in your underground tanks. There’s actually a couple of different ways your system may be looking for leaks we’re going to hit the little downward tab, and we see tanks and I notice there’s four tanks here let’s see what’s happening with the regular tank. There’s inventory information I check leak test history it says no test what does that mean does that mean we’re not doing a leak test? Well if I’m an astute operator or inspector I want to go back a little bit and know that it’s probably a double wall tank system and so we’re going to hit the sensor button and now we’re seeing a bunch of sensors here and so we are seeing like a regular interstitial reg INT. What that shows me is that it is a double wall tank with interstitial monitoring status is okay there is no leak in the interstitial space therefore we’ve just done leak detection. So don’t be scared of the fact that there’s no leak test information here because it’s probably a double wall interstitial system. Again, you can look for leaks internally with your 0.2 gallon per hour leak test which this is not doing or you can look for leaks interstitially here, and again when you’re working with your Evo 550 or 600 always go back to the home button to get back to where you started. This is Ben Thomas with UST training this has been a tank savvy minute.
