Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Today we’re going to talk about the new EPA UST rules. You may know by now that EPA passed National changes to the federal UST regulations and those went into effect October 2015. Some of the changes are going to be happening this spring 2016 and then the bulk of the changes will come about and be due by October 2018. So, some of the important changes coming up you need to be aware about is mandatory operator training, mandatory 30-day walkthrough inspections, mandatory annual equipment testing and manual three-year tightness testing of things like sumps and spill buckets and overfill devices. So, the rules are going to be coming your way they’re good changes they’re changes that are probably long overdue just be aware of them. When they exactly happen in your State is going to depend on how the state adopts those rules so, please check with your local regulatory agency and make sure, you know exactly what rules are kicking in and when they apply.
