New Revised Washington Class A/B Course: Important Deadlines - UST Training

May 6, 2019

Hello Washington Class A/B UST Operators:
UST Training wanted to let you know our Class A/B UST Operator Training course was revised and re-approved by the Washington Department of Ecology (DOE). The course had to be updated to include new DOE rules for things like spill bucket and sump testing.

How can you learn about the new rules? Two choices:

1. Download the DOE handout at  the DOE web page.

2. Login to your account in Coggno and re-watch the lessons. There’s no cost to review.

One important thing to note is the new rules deadline.

Tests of Leak Detection, Spill Buckets, Overfill Prevention, and Sumps testing requirements for existing UST systems begin:

– 10/1/2020 if compliance tag number is even

– 10/1/2021 if compliance tag number is odd

So look at your tags (usually on the outside of your building), figure out the last digit and starting planning (and budgeting) for the new test requirements. The site in this photo must have all the testing done by 10/1/2021.
