New Revised Washington Class A/B Course: Important Deadlines

Hello Washington Class A/B UST Operators:
UST Training wanted to let you know our Class A/B UST Operator Training course was revised and re-approved by the Washington Department of Ecology (DOE). The course had to be updated to include new DOE rules for things like spill bucket and sump testing.

Be Like Bonnie: What a Great UST Operator Looks Like

Bonnie is the store manager at a mini-mart gas station in a small town in rural Washington. She took our Class A/B UST operator training course about four years ago and I remember her well because after she got certified she promptly called our office with a bunch of questions. We spoke at length and I helped answer what I thought were a number of very thoughtful and tactical questions. She’s called a few times since then and we’ve talked though a number of her concerns. But I haven’t heard from her in a while.

Overview: Oregon has the distinction of being the first state in the US to require UST operator training back in 2003 and instructor Ben Thomas has trained the majority of UST operators in Oregon since then. This course will prepare students to become a certified Class A/B UST operator in Oregon. Attend this lively, interactive class to learn about UST rules, best management practices, and come away with practical advice about being a top notch UST operator. Seating is limited, sign up today!

Approval: This course is approved by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The Washington Department of Ecology (DOE) approves this course by reciprocity.

Discounts: Oregon Fuel Association (OFA) members are eligible for a 25% class discount. Discounts are only valid at the time of purchase. If you are a member and need your discount coupon, email us. UST Training is a proud member of OFA.

Refresher: A refresher training is not required unless the UST owner receives a violation notice for significant non-compliance; then refresher training is mandatory. We do encourage voluntary refreshers to help you stay fresh on the content.

Free help: After you’re trained, new UST owners can qualify for a free site visit from the Oregon DEQ to help continue your education. Learn more.
