UPDATE: States with Operator Training Rules

It’s been a very long haul from Oregon adopting UST operator training rules in 2003 to just last week when Connecticut almost adopted rules but got delayed.

Most states have rules on the books, a few states are close, a few states will be delayed and a few states won’t be ready any time soon.

Quick update:

Guam and CNMI are neck and neck to get UST rules adopted in the next few weeks.

Northern Marianas Island Operator Training This July

Hafa Adai! UST Training is pleased to announce we’ll be doing live Class A/B Operator Training in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CMNI) this July 17 (at the Aqua Resort Club) and July 18 (Pacific Island Club), 2012 on the island of Saipan. The CNMI DEQ will be sponsoring the classes and UST Training staff will be teaching them. The classes will be a combination of classroom and live field instruction which is always the most fun for us as well as the students.

This will be the only opportunity to get training in the CNMI before the August 8, 2012 deadline.

Registration is required so sign up today!

Guam UST Operator Training

UST Training is pleased to announce we have been awarded a contract with the Guam Environmental Protection Agency to train all Class A/B operators in Guam this July.

We will offer live classes on three different dates in order to help Guam UST operators meet the training requirements.

EPA Ruling to Eliminate Stage 2 Vapor Recovery at Retail UST Sites

UST Training is notifying our readers that it looks like Stage II Vapor Recovery, collecting vapors at certain gasoline dispensers, is going away, at least at a Federal level. Whether states like California or areas like Puget Sound in Washington will follow, remains to be seen.
