Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Today I’m going to talk briefly about professional petroleum contractors. You may be familiar and comfortable with doing maintenance and service work to your UST system you might even change your own filters but we at UST training strongly recommend you only hire competent petroleum professionals to do the work. Some states require certification to do particular types of tank work. We feel that regardless of whether or not certification is required you only hire professional petroleum contractors to do the work. There are many things that can be of risk to you, there’s fire hazards you may come across a situation you don’t know what to do and even setting up a safety perimeter might be new to you so again we at UST training recommend when you’re doing any type of work on your UST system please only hire the best.
