Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Today we’re going to talk about safety equipment while performing a UST inspection. As a class A B or maybe C operator you may be asked to perform a periodic inspection, and you want to make sure you’ve got the following. Safety glasses so you don’t get things in your eye, latex gloves you don’t get gas and diesel on your hands, a safety vest so that traffic can see, definitely steel toes shoes you don’t want to drop anything on your toes in this case here I’ve got a safety barricade set up so that cars can see me and be aware that I’m doing important work out here. So again, as you’re doing a compliance inspection or just kind of a routine equipment inspection you want to make sure you’ve got both personal protective gear and safety equipment so that you’re not in harm’s way with traffic.
