Hi, this is Ben Thomas with UST training, and this is a tank savvy minute. Today I want to introduce you to the Veeder-Root TLS-450PLUS the latest automatic tank gauge from the Veeder-Root company. A couple things you notice right off the bat here the Veeder-Root TLS 450PLUS is a black box console. You’ve got your printer over here, you’ve got your lights down here green all functions normal, no alarms. Yellow if there is a warning indication and red if there’s some sort of alarm. The biggest difference about automatic tank gauges of today is that they’re coming out with touchscreen consoles which is really cool. You can see a couple things there’s a menu bar those blue buttons on the left you’ve got the status bar on the top and if it says green all functions normal and in fact it says in small print zero warnings and zero alarms. You’ve got a time date stamp there as well but the cool thing about the new consoles you can walk up and say okay I’ve got five tanks I can see a cross profile of these tanks how much fuel is in each tank and what type of product it is and so right off the bat here you get operators much more comfortable seeing what they’ve got in the ground how big the tanks are and how much fuel there is.
