Good News in Colorado for those Class A/B UST operators who upgraded their UST system. The UST Program can authorize money from the Petroleum Storage Tank Fund (Fund) to be used as incentives to underground or aboveground storage tank owners and operators for significant operational compliance or to upgrade existing tank systems.
To be eligible for this incentive the applicant must have completed the upgrade or tank removal work by December 31, 2018.

Two California businessman accused of violating multiple UST requirements have been conditionally banned from owning or operating gas stations in California and are on the hook with other defendants for up to $4.25 million in fines and fees, following a multi-year investigation by the State Water Resources Control Board.
